Police Minister Vows Support for Enhanced Police Force During Visit to IGP

The Minister of Police Affairs, Senator (Dr.) Ibrahim Gaidam, alongside the Minister of State for Police Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim, and other officials, paid a working visit to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, at the IGP’s Smart Conference Hall in Force Headquarters, Abuja.
During the meeting, the Honourable Minister reiterated the government's commitment to bolstering the Nigeria Police Force's modernization and professionalism efforts. Emphasizing the importance of providing law enforcement personnel with adequate tools and resources, the Minister aimed at enhancing their effectiveness while safeguarding citizens' rights and safety.
In response, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun assured the Minister of the Force's dedication to becoming service-oriented, people-friendly, and compliant with the rule of law. He highlighted ongoing initiatives geared towards community engagement, transparency promotion, and accountability fostering within the Force.
Expressing gratitude for the visit and the collaborative efforts discussed, the IGP stressed the significance of partnership between the Ministry of Police Affairs and the Nigeria Police Force in achieving mutual goals of creating a safer society.
